Although I was sceptical initially about trying a range of bird's nest skincare products, I was pleasantly surprised that it delivered what it promised, that is, visible pore refining and instant hydration.
Combining the virtues of bird's nest into its skincare products under the Nutox Oxyfusion range, the BNest HydraRefiner promises youthful skin and pore refining through hydration.
While I didn't care too much about skin whitening, I didn't mind putting on a product that promised 24-hour hydration with the ability to make pores smaller.
There are four products Pore Refining Cleansing Water, Invisible Pore Essence, Cell Boosting Elixir, and BBB Cream.
While most skincare brands have a BB cream, Tohtonku Sdn Bhd has named it BBB because of the added bird's nest.
The formulation contains B-MoistXS, an innovative source of hydration that's ultra light and biobased, and Porisealle, an advanced toning ingredient that visibly tightens pores, improves skin tone and firms skin without drying it out.
I found the Cleansing Water easy to use. The water-based two-in-one toning cleanser purifies, tones and removes make-up in a single step. It is also supposed to refine pores and replenish moisture while cleansing.
The Invisible Pore Essence is the next step to refine and tighten pores, for well-hydrated skin. After applying it, my pores looked finer and my skin felt smooth and moist to the touch.
Boost and Prime
They don't call it an elixir for nothing. As a result of extensive research by its dermatology experts, the Cell Boosting Elixir is one of the star products because it boosts the renewal of cells and primes the skin to absorb moisture more effectively.
My favourite item is the BBB Cream. What I liked about it is that I didn't have to use a few skincare products (like a moisturiser, makeup base, primer, sunblock and concealer), so it saves time.
Just one product and you are good to go. The BBB Cream contains sun protection, make-up base, blemish concealer, 24-hour foundation and whitening cream. Moisturising and oil-free, it blended into my skin really well and made it looked flawless.
It also covers imperfections without clogging pores, is easy to use and formulated with SPF35 PA++ protection.
There are two shades available tan and natural. I opted for the natural shade because tan was a little too dark for me.
The Nutox Oxyfusion BNest HydraRefiner products are available at all pharmacies, hypermarkets and department stores for between RM35.90 and RM79.90.
