Heriot Watt is amongst the first project owners in a new Entry Point Project under the Education NKEA: 'Establishing branch campuses in Malaysia'

This will be Heriot Watt's second international branch campus following the success of its Dubai Campus. As a university concentrated on science, petroleum engineering, built environment technology, business and textiles & design, the Bachelors and Masters degree programmes that Heriot-Watt University Malaysia will offer match a number of the National Key Economic Areas under the Malaysian Economic Transformation Programme, while at the same time contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of the city of Putrajaya.

Within Putrajaya, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia will provide a focus for development of Precinct-5, with an associated student accommodation village, retail outlets and, potentially, related high technology companies - creating a focus for new economic activity.
